What is Military Time?

Military time, also known as 24-hour time or the 24-hour clock, is a time system that divides the day into 24 hours without using the AM or PM notation. It is usually written as a four-digit number, where the first two digits represent the hour (00 to 23) and the last two digits represent the minutes (00 to 59). Unlike the typical 12-hour clock, military time does not use a colon when writing the time. For example:

• 00:00 (midnight) is written as 0000 in military time.
• 14:30 (2:30 PM) is written as 1430 in military time.
